The time in Hong Kong lays one hour behind Korea. The city is composed of Hong Kong island and the Kowloon peninsula. Kowloon is told to have been named by Emperor Ping who was hiding in Hong Kong 800 years ago. Hong Kong island and Kowloon peninsula are connected by an under-water tunnel and we can get through it by a boat named 'Star Ferry'. The common languages in Hong Kong are English and Cantonese; however, Cantonese is more often used. 98% of the 600 million inhabitans of Hong Kong are Chinese.
